Kolkata | Thursday, Nov 5 2009 IST

Metro train services were disrupted in the peak office hours this morning as a person committed suicide by jumping before an oncoming train at the Rabindra Sarobar station here.

Metro Railway officials said the person was yet to be identified.

The body was badly mutiliated as the Down Kavi Nazrul bound train was in high speed when it entered the station around after 1000 hrs, sources said. The body was yet to be removed from the tracks.

A truncated service was running between Dum Dum and Maidan stations in the North-Central Kolkata stretch and between Mahanayak Uttam Kumar and Kavi Nazrul stations in the south.
