India Gangster booked under MCOCA
The Delhi police have arrested an active member of an interstate gang of autolifters and registered a case against him under MCOCA, police said. Manoj Kumar, alias Raju(28), a resident of Gokulpuri, was arrested by the police yesterday on a tip-off and a Honda City car having a fake licence plate recovered from him. The motor vehicle was stolen by him and his friend Ajay Singh Tomar, alias Babu, Additional Commissioner of Police, New Delhi, S Das said. On interrogation, Manoj disclosed that the gang, which stole luxury cars and disposed them of in different parts of the country, was involved in more than 60 motor vehicle theft cases. Manoj also revealed that his elder brother Dharmpal Singh, working with Delhi Home Guards, helped the gang. Other gang members Moti, alias Dada and Pawan, residents of Assam, were in judicial custody under MCOCA. Efforts were on to search other gang members.
