HC directs RIL to carry amendments in its petition
Mumbai | Wednesday, Nov 4 2009 IST

The Bombay High Court today directed Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) to amend within two weeks its petition against public sector unit National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) over a gas supply deal.

The high court's direction was based on the supreme court's order allowing RIL to amend its petition so as to incorporate government's affidavit in the RIL-RNRL case.

NTPC had moved the court challenging the high court's decision allowing RIL to amend its petition to the effect that the government's policy on pricing of gas would frustrate its contract to supply gas at a price of USD 2.34 per mmBtu it had quoted in a 2004 global tender.
