Dassault Systemes becomes tech partner of JBM Group Bangalore | Wednesday, Nov 4 2009 IST
Dassault Systmes (DS) and JBM Group, one of Indias largest sheet metal component manufacturers, have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at large scale technology deployment across JBM groups business units. With the Indian automobile component and manufacturing industries rapidly evolving, the indigenous designing aspect has gained great momentum. To this effect, the two companies today announced a partnership to build synergies leveraging their inherent expertise in the automotive and aerospace sectors, a Dassault release said here. The relationship will be extended to JBM Groups recent education initiative 'Cadmind', which focuses on high end design engineering education. Cadmind is the first project of its kind initiated by an automobile component manufacturer to develop in-house capabilities for design, engineering and testing. Under the agreement, Dassault Systemes would provide the latest PLM software to Cadmind, enabling engineering students and professionals to create, share and experience the best in 3D, and providing them with exposure to the latest developments in design engineering. -- (UNI) -- 04MC7.xml
