Azmi resigns from Bhiwandi (E) constituency

Samajwadi Party city unit president Abu Asim Azmi, who was elected to Maharashtra legislative assembly from two constituencies, had resigned from Bhiwandi (E) constituency, official sources said. Mr Azmi was elected both from Mankhurd and Bhiwandi (E) in the October 13 assembly polls. With his resignation from one seat, Samajwadi Party is left with three seats in the house.
