CM to leave to New Delhi to meet party's central leaders

Rattled by dissidence against him, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will leave for New Delhi later today to hold talks with the party's central leaders to make peace with the rebels.

Talking to newspersons in Dharwad, a bout 400 km from here after reviewing the flood relief work, he expressed confidence that the crisis in the state BJP would last for a day or two more.

"Everything would clear shortly", he claimed.

He was in the North Karnataka city to inaugurate the state-sponsored 'Aasare' a rehabilitation programme for the flood victims with assistance from the Corporate sector, which had come forward to build houses for the displaced by the recent floods.

He said he would meet top BJP leaders to find a lasting solution to end the rebellion.

He said he was not averse to meeting the 'Reddy brothers', the mining tycoons from Bellary district, who are leading the rebellion against him, in New Delhi.

Expressing regret about the legislators who were gunning for the 'chair' and 'ignored' the plight of the flood affected in their constituencies by staying in resorts in Goa and Hyderabad, he said, ''They would have to explain the reason for such disappointing conduct to the public.'' Meanwhile, the legislators led by the Reddy brothers were still 'holedcup' in the five star resorts, waiting for the outcome of the BJP central leadership's initiative.
