CM asks media not to mix news with views
Hyderabad | Tuesday, Nov 3 2009 IST

Pointing out to the media's increasing tendency of mixing news and views, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah today exhorted the media not to mix news with views.

Taking part in the state-level conference of the Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Federation, he said media should faithfully report the views of leaders, while they were free to give their own views separately in editorial page. There was a need for factual reporting of various events, he said, adding media should also observe balance while reporting various issues.

While stressing the importance of media in dissemination of news and creating social awareness among the people, the Chief Minister urged the managements of various media organisations to fulfill the just demands of journalists.
