Senior officials interact with IAS aspirants

The Krishik Sarvodaya Foundation here celebrated its 53rd Kannada Rajyostava at Delhi Karnataka Sangha by organising an interface between the Civil Service Officers of the Karnataka cadre including Finance Secretary V V Bhat and Dr C S Kedar, Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat and the aspirants from the state appearing in civil services examinations. President, KSF, New Delhi, Mr B R Natesh explained the KSF achievements. Among the officers who took part in the in the interface were Mr Subhas Chandra Khuntia, Joint Secretary, HRD; Mr Kripanidhi, IDAS, Ministry of Defence, Mr Vijaya Bhaskar, Joint Secretary, Drinking Water Supply; Ms Imkongla Jamir, Resident Commissioner, Karnataka Bhavan and Mr Ritvik Pandey, Director, Ministry of Finance. Other officers from the allied services were Mr A P Frank Noronha, IIS, DG, DAVP and Ms N B Bharati, IPS, Ministry of Home Affairs besides Mr S Ramaswamy, Joint Director, Lok Sabha.

Mr Bhat presided over the function while Dr C S Kedar made introductory remarks. The senior officers also gave tips to the aspirants regarding the selection of optional subjects, preparation strategy and the importance of Mains exams in getting better ranks. They felt that there was a pressing need for arranging libraries, coaching centres, and hostel facilities for the benefit of aspirants in the Capital and promised to render guidance to the candidates including focused group interactions, subject specific discussions and mock interviews for those who qualify for the final interview.

As many as 150 aspirants showed keen interest and participated actively in the event. The programme started with ''Jai Bharata Jananaiya Tanujaathe''. They also enacted a skit to highlight their traumatic experiences in Delhi at various stages. The skit also demonstrated the many facets of timely help in arranging accommodationa and getting admission to coaching centres rendered by KSF Delhi office-bearers. They recalled how the successful campaign of the KSF motivated them to come to Delhi for pursuing Civil Services. Several senior Karnataka Sangha office-bearers were present in the function which took place on November 1.
