Shah Rukh Khan's fan club offers special prayers to celebrate his 44th birthday

Members of a fan club of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan in Kolkata celebrated his 44th birthday with much fervour and offered special prayers on Monday.

While 'King Khan' as the heartthrob of millions is popularly known also had a birthday bash in Mumbai, his fans in Kolkata spent every moment throughout the day by praying for his long life and wishing him luck.

Members of the Shah Rukh Khan Fan Club also prayed for the success of his Indian Premier League team, Kolkata Knight Riders.

"We have offered special prayers praying for the long life of Shah Rukh Khan. We have made a temple on the theme of Kolkata Knight Riders. And we have prayed that IPL 2010 trophy comes to Khan's team only. We have prayed that his team wins and we are celebrating his birthday with lot of enthusiasm here," said Dipak Yadav, the Secretary of Shah Rukh Khan Fan Club.

The members of the club made a temple with several photographs of Khan and also cut his cake.

"He is our God, that's why I have come here to offer prayers. I want to give good wishes to Shah Rukh on his 44th birthday. And best of luck and this Khan's locket in my neck is my God and I am his big fan," said Rahul Roy, a member of the Shah Rukh Khan Fan Club. (ANI)
