Police said the teacher, identified as Umadevi (55), was clobbered to death when she was alone at home in Vijayanagar area. Her body was found in the kitchen with severe head injuries. It was suspected that somebody who knew the teacher had committed the crime as all valuables were in tact in the house. Her husband who came after some time found the body and called the police. No one has been arrested in the incident. This was the sixth incident of attack on lonely women in their homes in the city since January this year.
