Work on Football Academy to get going from Nov 4 Bangalore | Monday, Nov 2 2009 IST
In an attempt to give a boost to football in India, the Federation DE International Football Association (FIFA), the umbrella organistion of World Football, has come forward to set up Football Academy in the city. Union Minister for Civil Aviation Praful Patel, who is also the All India Football Federation (AIFF) President, would preside over function to mark the ground breaking ceremony of the Academy by Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa here on November four. The Academy, with an estimated cost of Rs three crore, would come up at the Southern Wing of the Bangalore District Football Association (BDFA) Stadium here, KSFA President A R Khaleel told UNI here today.
