Hasish worth Rs 41 cr seized

In a major haul of narcotics by Customs sleuths tonight seized around 41 kg of high quality hashish worth about Rs 41 crore in the international market and arrested three Swiss nationals at Bengalore International Airport here today.

Officials in Customs Department said the trio had concealed 40.93 kgs of hashish in their suitcases and were ready to fly to London on an Emirates flight. ''They have been detained for interrogation,'' the officials told UNI.

The Swiss nationals were identified as Reubi Walter, Tuchler Johann and Marek Lewenpowicz and were in their 50s. ''They were arrested when they were about to board the Emirates flight to London via Dubai in the evening,'' the officials said.
