Barnala greets on Guru Nanak's birth anniversary Chennai | Sunday, Nov 1 2009 IST
Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala today greeted the people on the occasion of the 541st Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev. In his message, Mr Barnala said ''Guru Nanak Devji propagated the message of right conduct, love, peace and truthful living.'' He said Guru Nanak Devji advocated values of chastity and self control, patience and perseverance, love for learning, fearlessness, love of God and Man and Nam or Shabad. ''Let us on this solemn occasion, rededicate ourselves to the great ideals of Guru Nanak Devji and promote unity, harmony, equality and brotherhood,'' a Raj Bhavan communique, quoting Mr Barnala, said. -- (UNI) -- 01MS19.xml
