Chennai | Sunday, Nov 1 2009 IST

An Oman Airlines flight from Muscat to Bangalore, with 165 passengers on board, was diverted to Chennai this morning as it could not land in the Garden City due to bad weather.

Airport sources said the flight was scheduled to land at Bangalore airport at 0500 hrs.

As the weather condition was bad, the aircraft was diverted to Chennai and it landed here at 0610 hrs. The flight later left here for Bangalore at 1030 hrs after the weather conditions improved.
