NGIL clocks Rs 8.27 cr net profit in Q2

Nitta Gelatin India Limited (NGIL), a leading global manufacturer of Gelatin and related products today announced its financial results for the second quarter ended September 30.

Company Managing Director G Suseelan, in a release here said the net profit after tax was Rs 8.27 crore, a jump of 128.45 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

He said net income in Q2 was Rs 50.11 crore, an increase of 9.96 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Earnings Per Share doubled to Rs 9.84 as against Rs 4.31 during the corresponding quarter of the previous year, he said adding the company has been growing at a healthy pace for more than three years. NGIL is a joint-venture of Nitta Gelatin Inc., Japan and Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation Limited, the release added.
