Maoist violence will not be tolerated, asserts Buddhadeb
Kolkata |Friday, 2009 11:35:11 PM IST

West Bengal Chief Minster Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee Friday said that his government would not tolerate the violent acts carried out by Maoists in West Bengal.

He also urged people to consolidate protest against the Leftwing ultras and condemn the political forces which were supporting these extremist groups in the state.

"Maoists' activities will not be tolerated. I know they are trying to create disturbances in our state," Bhattacherjee told a political rally here in the evening.

"People are watching everything what is happening because of these Maoist ultras. I hope they (common people) will take necessary action so that these elements do not form their bases in our state."

"There has to be a political will to combat such a situation. All political parties should stand up and protest such violent incidents," Bhattacharjee said.
