India FBCCI moots introduction of multiple-visas
Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has mooted introduction of multiple-purpose visas for the convenience of the businessmen of both India and Bangladesh. Addressing the media here yesterday, FBCCI president Ansul Haque, who was leading Bangladeshi delegation of businessman, said Meghalaya government should waive import duty on garments from Bangladesh so that it could export eight millions garments in the state. The Bangladeshi delegation would also visit Guwahati and Kolkata in near future, Mr Haque said. Indo-Bangladeh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) has also expressed desire to invest in joint-venture in cement plants in Meghalaya. ''Since Meghalaya borders with Bangladesh, there is convenience in transportation,'' IBCCI president Abdul Matlub Ahmed said, adding Meghalaya had good natural resources like limestone and coal which could find market in Bangladesh. -- (UNI) -- 29CA24.xml
