Wipro Chief discusses with France Minister on growth strategy

IT major Wipro Ltd Chief Azim Premji and Christian Estrosi of Ministry of Industry, France held discussion on Wipro's IT services growth strategy for France last evening.

Mr Estrosi said ''the development of bi-lateral business and cultural relationships between India and France is important for both countries and it is heartening to know that Wipro works closely with leading French corporations,'' a release said here today. Speaking on Wipros presence in France, Mr Premji said ''we reiterate our commitment to France, a key growth market for Wipro.

We look forward to growing our presence, serving our customers effectively and creating employment opportunities in the country.'' For the last three years Wipro has successfully implemented its development plan for its IT services in the French market, he added.

Christophe Martinoli, Head of France, Wipro Technologies said ''with the continued investment and our focus on creating a skilled talent-base in France, we intend to double our staff-base and revenues in the next 18 months to serve our French customers across industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, Telecom, Energy and Utilities, Banking and Insurance.''
