India 110 of Indias best to showcase their designs at WIFW SS 2010
The very best of Indian fashion will come under one roof at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010 (WIFW SS 2010) with 110 designers, ranging from the fashion maestros to promising young Indian designers, showcasing their collections at the fashion event, to be held here from October 24-28. The 110 designers, which include reputed designers like Tarun Tahilliani, Ashish Soni, Rohit Bal, Ashima and Leena, Ranna Gill, Ritu Beri, Meera and Muzaffar Ali, Ritu Kumar, Sanjana Jon, Reena Dhaka, Suneet Varma and Namrata Joshipura along with upcoming designers like Nimrita Lalwani, Shantanu Goenka, Amit Aggarwal and Jason Anshu, will display the very best of Indian fashion under one roof. Buyers and consumers will surelly get the widest possible selection for both men and women. The designers will market the finest of Indian Fashion to domestic and international buyers, fashion enthusiasts, media as well as other industry stakeholders. With their presence, WIFW Spring Summer 2010 promises to be a world class event exhibiting the very best of Indian talent. The 14th edition of Indias biggest fashion trade event will usher a new era of a unified fashion week represented by the best of Indias fashion industry, brought together on a cohesive platform for another season of cutting edge design, style and business. The unified fashion week will see the return of reputed Delhi designers such as Tarun Tahilliani, Ashish Soni and Rohit Bal to the FDCI fold, while Mumbais crme de la crme designers - Wendell Rodricks & Narendra Kumar - will open WIFW SS 2010. Suneet Varma and Ritu Beri make a comeback to the Pret ramp at WIFW. The fashion week will see the work of debut designers who have shown flair, ingenuity and have the right blend of creativity and commercial viability. Announcing the names of the participating designers for WIFW Spring-Summer 2010, the president of the FDCI, Sunil Sethi, said,''The essence of style is a designers simple way of saying something complex.
