I have great expectations from 'All The Best': Mugdha Godse
New Delhi | Wednesday, Oct 14 2009 IST

After dazzling viewers with her glamorous portrayal in Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Fashion', this super model is now ready to tickle the funny bone of cinegoers with her next film 'All The Best'.

Having tried her hand at realistic cinema, Mugdha is now set to display her comic streak in Rohit Shetty's 'All The Best', which releases this Diwali.

For Mugdha, the fact that 'All The Best' comes exactly a year after her debut film 'Fashion', which also released on Diwali last year to a fantastic response, makes her highly optimistic about the chances of 'All the Best'.

''After 'Fashion', I have great expectations from 'All The Best', which features me in a light hearted portrayal. That it releases at the same time (Diwali) as 'Fashion' makes me very optimistic about the film's chances. The film has turned out quite well and I am sure the audience will appreciate me in a comic portrayal as much as in a serious role in 'Fashion','' Mugdha told UNI here.

The model-turned-actress, who was in the capital in connection with the promotion of her latest film, said working with senior actors like Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt had been a fantastic experience for her.

''It was fantastic working with Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt in 'All The Best'. I feel it is always helpful, in the beginning of your career, to get an opportunity to work with senior and experienced actors like Ajay and Sanjay as it helps you grow as an actor,'' Mugdha said.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, the comedy also stars Bipasha Basu and Fardeen Khan.

Mugdha said she was also looking forward to Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Jail', a film where she will be seen in a deglamourised role. ''Unlike my role in 'Fashion' and 'All The Best', 'Jail' will feature me in a totally deglamourised role,'' the model-turned-actress said.

Actually, 'Jail' was to release before 'All The Best' but due to some production delays will now come two weeks after it.

''For me, just the fact that two of my releases traversing diverse genres are coming one after the other is a matter of excitement and I am hoping both of them will draw the audiences,'' the actress said.

She was all praise for Neil Nitin Mukesh, her co-star in 'Jail'.

''I would say that Neil is an extremely good actor. As an actor, it is helpful if the actor working opposite you is a good performer as it encourages you to perform better to match up to his acting prowess,'' Mugdha said.

Among Mugdha's forthcoming films is a horror film where she is paired opposite Bobby Deol.

''It is a film directed by Rajiv Virani. Almost 70 per cent of the film has been wrapped up,'' she said.
