India Swamy demands HM's resignation on Naxalite issue
Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today described as ''alarming'' the rise in Maoist-Naxalite violence in the country, saying it appeared to be based on a terror nexus with anti-India terrorists outfits and financed from abroad. In a press statement here, he pointed out that in Sri Lanka, the Government encouraged by the United States and Israel was able to effectively decimate the LTTE, which was long portrayed by some as invincible. The Janata Party president also demanded the resignation of Home Minister P Chidambaram for his ''failure'' to tackle the situation. -- (UNI) -- 07DI32.xml
