Chong Wei eases into third round
Hyderabad | Wednesday, Aug 12 2009 IST

Top seed Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia recorded his second victory in the men's singles, disposing off unseeded Ola Fagbemi 21-11, 21-14 in the BWF World Badminton Championships at Gatchibowli stadium here today.

Chong, the defending champion, was never troubled by the little known Nigerian player, who could not match the Malaysian's repertoire and was sent packing in just 21 minutes.

Chong took the first game 21-11 easily with an array of shots. In the second game, the Nigerian came with a different strategy playing an attacking game. But he could not stop the top seed from wrapping up the match 21-14.

The Malaysian forced 67 rallies winning 42 of them as he smashed winners 17 times to register straight games win in the opening match of the day.
