Amitabh, Abhishek shoot for movie in Delhi Metro
New Delhi | Sunday, May 31 2009 IST

Delhi Metro had a taste of Bollywood when mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan with son Abhishek and actress Vidya Balan in tow came visiting to shoot for a sequence for their upcoming film 'Paa' in a moving train.

The trio shot the sequence in a train which travelled from Dwarka Sector 9 station up Yamuna Bank and back. They spent over four hours in the Metro for the film, which is being directed by S Balki of 'Cheeni Kum' fame.

The filmmakers chose Delhi Metro because they said it is a showcase of the emerging India which is ''clean, efficient and technologically advanced''.

DMRC charges Rs 100,000 per hour as licence fee for shooting on the Metro premises, besides cost of use of train, security deposit, bank guarantee, insurance and others.
