'Luck By Chance' tunes rule world music portals

After making debut from the musical block buster 'Rock On', Farhan Akhtar now seems to be on way to give another tuneful hit with 'Luck By Chance', which is ruling the top ten charts of all the music portals.

Having already become a hit on Radio and television, the music of 'Luck by Chance', Farhan's second venture as an actor after his debut in 'Rock On', is ruling the top ten charts of all the music portals, sources in Big Pictures, the producers of the film, said.

Released under the aegis of the Big Music, the music arm of Reliance BIG Entertainment Ltd, the songs of 'Luck By Chance', which has music of hip trio Shankar, Eshaan and Loy and lyrics penned down by maestro Javed Akhtar, have been getting the thumbs up by music buffs on all popular world music portals like iTunes, emusic, napster and amazon, the sources said.

Like the songs of 'Rock On', which rocked the music scene across the country last year, the music album of 'Luck By Chance' is contemporary and vibrant, having shades of inspiration, romance, feel good, Sufi. Its music has got a five-star rating on iTunes. Besides iTunes, listeners review on other music portals have hailed the songs of 'Luck By Chance', which marks the directorial debut of Farhan's sister Zoya Akhtar as 'Awesome music' and a 'Must have Great work' by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy.

Presented by Excel Entertainment Pvt Ltd and BIG Pictures, 'Luck By Chance' is slated to hit the silver screen on January 30 worldwide.

The film's debutante director Zoya Akhtar seems elated at the response that the music has been generating. The film's music with seven orchestrated songs, gives a mix flavour of soulful melodies to foot tapping dance numbers. 'Yeh Zindagi Bhi' is the opening credit song; pictured beautifully on the 'film industry' with Shekhar Ravjiani and Loy Mendonsa lending their voices in the background. 'Baawre', sung by Shankar himself along with Loy Mendonsa, features Hrithik Roshan in the best of his moves. With a grand circus as the backdrop, the song has a stunning Isha Sherwani matching steps with Hrithik, Russian dancers, clowns, colours -- it is the perfect high energy 'item' song.

Mahalaxmi Iyer and Amit Paul have lend their voice to 'Pyaar Ki Dastaan', a beautiful romantic duet. 'Yeh Aaj Kya Ho Gaya' supported by the powerful Sunidi Chauhan and picturised on Konkona Sen Sharma captures Javed Akhtar at his best. 'Sapnon Se Bhare Naina' stands out as the song of the album. With Shankar's commanding vocal, a very resolute Farhan on screen, the lyrics are soul stirring and sure to put one in the 'upbeat about life' mood. 'O Rahi Re' has the quintessential Javed Akhtar touch - thoughtful, happy, sad and contemplative. Medival Punditz comes in for a spectacular remix of 'Baawre'.
