Microsoft organises week-log CSR community service Bangalore | Tuesday, Nov 18 2008 IST
Microsoft India Global Technical Support Centre (GTSC) here celebrated the Community Services Week early this month in the city. The event was organised by the internal community affairs volunteer group. It afforded an opportunity to a large section of the employees to understand the various community causes supported by the organisation, a company release said. The week was kick started by a blood donation drive and environmental conservation awareness campaign. This was followed by NGO days, where employees could either purchase materials made by the NGO or know more about volunteering opportunities with them. The final day closed with celebrating Childrens day, where the volunteers organised a special afternoon for over 30 children from the Parikrma Humanity Foundation, The India GTSC community affairs agenda is focused on - Education, Empowerment and Environment. -- (UNI) -- 18MC7.xml
