Jet Airways flight returns to Delhi airport after take off Mumbai | Saturday, Jul 26 2008 IST
A Jet Airways Mumbai-bound flight (9W 362), with Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar onboard, had to return to New Delhi airport shortly after take off from there due to a technical discrepancy. The incident occurred yesterday. ''The reason for this was because the cabin crew reported to the pilot a discrepancy with the aft, though the door was locked and armed,'' a SMS issued by Jet Airways PRO, quoting the airline's CEO Saroj Datta, said. ''There were, however, no warnings or indications of any discrepancy in the cockpit. Our investigations indicate that safety was not compromised, the door was locked and armed. All related indicators were normal,'' the SMS added. -- (UNI) -- 26BY11.xml
