Zapak.com helps Kolkata Knight Riders play cricket online

Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd, a Reliance ADA Group Venture and one of India's largest online gaming portals, announced their mega association with Shah Rukh Khan's IPL Team - Kolkata Knight Riders. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was present on the occasion with his entire team to announce the association last night. As part of the association, Zapak.com is the Official Gaming Partner for the IPL team and has created a dedicated cricket zone on the official website of the Knight Riders - http://www.kolkataknightriders.com/games.ph. This zone will host 10 of world's best cricket games for the users, out of which 5-6 games will be custom-built specially around Knight Riders. Currently, there are four games running live on the portal. Zapak and Kolkata Knight Riders launched a new game on the official Kolkata Knight Riders portal - Cricket by the Book, one of the games specially built around Shah Rukh Khan's team. In this game, the player has to form his team, toss the coin, turn the pages and score runs. The player gets to choose his players by picking a country first and then picking his team from the list. The player then decides the opponent team by clicking on the flag and reviewing the cricketers. The player also chooses the number of overs to be played. After the teams are decided, on clicking on ''Play'', a thumb will begin riffling the pages. The player has to figure out when to click on Stop. The player will score runs based on the page numbers where the player clicks stop. Submit your score in the gallery of highest runs.

Zapak and Kolkata Knight Riders also announced the launch of a mega contest 'Get Knighted Contest'. To be a part of this contest, the contenders will have to log on to - (web url) and play 'Cricket by the Book'. Based on the scores in the game, top 50 players will be chosen to play Multiplayer Cricket Contest in 12 Zapak Gameplexes across India. Top player from each of the 12 gameplex will win T-shirts signed by Shah Rukh Khan and the Kolkata Knight Riders. In the end, based on a lucky draw, one of the 12 winners will be chosen to get knighted by Shah Rukh Khan and win a complete KKR cricketing kit signed by the superstar. Speaking on the association, Shah Rukh said ''With this association our key objective is to get all cricket fans feel that they are a part of the team. There is a varied array of games in the gaming zone, which will cater to all types of cricket fans. For a player interested in bowling, there are games based on bowling. For a player interested in batting, there are games based on batting, while for a general fan, there are also quiz-based games to check their knowledge on the game. And there is no stickier application than cricket-based gaming on the internet to get the fans interested.''
