Bureaucratic reshuffle in MP

The Madhya Pradesh government tonight transferred 25 officers of the Indian Administrative Service, official sources said here.

Relief Commissioner Devendra Singhai was made State Planning Board's Member Secretary while Principal Secretary (Health) I S Dani was shifted as Development Commissioner and Environment Commissioner Devraj Birdi would take up Mr Dani's previous post.

Mr Alok Shrivastav, who has returned from deputation to the United Nations Development Programme, was posted as Environment Commissioner, Madhya Pradesh Housing Board Commissioner R K Swai became Public Health Engineering Secy in place of Mr P C Meena who was transferred as Labour Secy while Finance Secy A P Shrivastav was made Relief Commissioner. Mineral Resource Department Managing Director Sewaram was shifted as Revenue Secretary, Jabalpur Commissioner Anil Shrivastav was posted as Rural Development Secy while State Planning Board Member Secy Manoj Jhalani became Rajya Shiksha Kendra Commissioner.

Rural Development Secy Wasim Akhtar would assume Mr Swai's earlier charge, Excise Commissioner T Dharma Rao was transferred as Tribal and Scheduled Castes Welfare Secy replacing Mr J N Kasotia who was shifted as Schools Secy while Rural Development Secy Ashok Shah was posted as MD, Seeds and Farm Development Corporation.

Among other transfers were Cooperatives Commissioner P K Parashar being shifted as Jabalpur Commissioner and Secy (Chief Secy's Office) Seema Sharma being posted in General Administration.
