Naxals kill Head Master, Lecturer Udupi | Thursday, May 15 2008 IST
A Head Master and a Lecturer were killed by naxals even as Karnataka would be going for the second phase of Assembly polls tomorrow. Inspector General of Police (Western Range) A M Prasad told UNI that CPI(Maoists) Naxals shot dead Head Master of a School, Boja Shetty, point blank, while Lecturer Suresh Shetty (both of Nadpal Village, about 50 km from here) succumbed to bullet injuries on the way to hospital. About six naxals barged into the house of Bhoja Shetty and Suresh Shetty without any provocation. Incidentally, a group of naxals had entered the house of Shettys some time ago and had threatened them and before going back, smashed household articles like TV and other equipment. Anti Naxal Squad rushed to the village and began combing operations. (Eds Pls pick up from MS65) -- (UNI) -- 15MS67.xml
