Ansari calls for communal harmony Kota | Thursday, May 15 2008 IST
Vice President Hamid Ansari today stressed upon communal harmony and said communal discord was a threat to national security. Speaking at the convocation of the Bhagwan Mahavir Vardhman Open University here today, Mr Ansari said unity among diversity had been the hallmark of our culture and society. He said that religion related analysis of terrorist acts had always proved to be damaging social unity and political stability. Rajasthan Governor Shilendra Kumar Singh presided over the function. Founder Vice-Chancellor of the university VR Mehta was conferred with D Lit while degree certificates and medals were awarded to the university graduates and post graduates.
