CM announces cmpensation to Rampur mishap victims, orders probe Lucknow | Thursday, May 15 2008 IST
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has announced a compensation of Rs 50,000 each for the victims of Danda-Kanpur road mishap, in which 27 people received severe cornea injuries. The CM has asked Moradabad Commissioner Umadhar Dwivedi to initiate an official inquiry into the case. Besides, announcing free treatment for all the victims. About 31 persons were aboard in the van, which lost control the wheels and overturned in the pit in Swartanda area of Rampur.
