Two killed, two seriously injured in clash near Jind bypass Kaithal | Thursday, May 15 2008 IST
Two people were killed while two others seriously injured today when two groups clashed on the Jind bypass here over the right-to-run a private computer centre. The injured persons were rushed to the local General Hospital from where they were referred to PGI at Chandigarh. According to reports, there was an exchange of hot words following which one group challenged the other near the Jind bypass road leading to a violent clash in which firearms, swords, stones and bricks were freely used, SP Anil Kumar Rao said. The mob dispersed only after the police reached the spot. One of the deceased, Anil Pahalwan, a resident of Manas village of the district was a former president of the Kaithal district unit of the Indian National Students Organisation. The other deceased has been identified as Vikram alias Bikka of Balu village. A case under Sections 302,307,147 and 148 of the IPC had been registered and 15 persons had beene rounded up so far for interrogation.
