TTD scholarships for Std X toppers Hyderabad | Thursday, May 15 2008 IST
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) has decided to provide scholarships for boys and girls of Class X who secure 500 marks in the public examination, from this year. TTD Executive Officer K V Ramanachari and other officials today met the Chief Minister and briefed him about the scholarship scheme which was appreciated by the Chief Minister, according to a release here. Under the scheme, the students would get a monthly scholarship of Rs 300 beginning this year. Those below the poverty line and studying in government schools were eligible. They will continue to receive the scholarship till they completed post graduation. However, they should secure 85 per cent in Intermediate and 70 per cent in Degree courses. -- (UNI) -- 15MS57.xml
