State wrestling meet begins May 17 Lucknow | Thursday, May 15 2008 IST
A two-day state level 54th men's and 7th women's invitation wrestling championships would be organised at the K D Singh Babu stadium here from May 17. Giving this information organising secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh said here today that about 250-300 International and national level wrestlers would be seen in action in the event. He said the main attraction of the championship would be the presence of three times Bharat Kesari and Hind Kesari Rajiv Tomar, who would represent India in the Beijing Olympics. The championship would be held under the patronage of Parliamentarian Brij Bhushan Singh, while legislative assembly speaker Sukhdev Rajbhar would be the chief guest. -- (UNI) -- 15SPD43.xml
