Adam Gilchrist's hurricane 61 runs knock helped Deccan Chargers set Hyderabad a 141 runs victory target for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL cricket tournament at the SMS stadium here tonight. Asked to bat first, Hyderabad were given a flying start by openers Gilchrist and H Gibbs as they put on 61 before the latter was caught by wicketkeeper Mahesh Rawat for 19 off Munaf Patel after having been dropped by Graems Smith on 5 off the same bowler. After that none other than S.Styris (13) and tail-ender Venu Gopal Rao (23) could even reach double figures. Gilchrist displayed dazzling form as he went on attacking right from the word go, hitting two fours in the very first over of Sohail tanvir and followed that with three fours in his next over. He earned a life on 52 dropped by Siddarth off his own bowling after having completed 50 in in 37 balls with eight fours and one six. He was ultimately dismissed by Trivedi for 61 off 49 balls with nine fours and a six, when he edged an outgoing delivery to the wicket keeper. Deccan Chargers lost wickets at regular interval after the departure of Gilchrist as their last five batsmen could add only 43 runs with Hyderabad finishing on 140 for 8 in 20 overs.
