Parveen H Parekh elected SCBA President
New Delhi | Friday, May 9 2008 IST

Senior Advocate Parveen H Parekh has been elected President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) for the second consecutive term.

He defeated his nearest rival Mr R S Suri by 52 votes. There had been resentment among the members of the Bar against the entire previous executive, including the President and the Secretary, following the restrictions imposed on the entry of clients.

Mr Adish C Aggarwal and Mr K C Kaushik are the new Vice-President and Secretary respectively of the SCBA.

Elections for SCBA office bearers were held today.
