Rajasthan to have body for research, exploration of petro products Jaipur | April 03, 2007 9:45:27 AM IST
Rajasthan will soon set up a body -- Rajasthan State Petroleum Corporation Ltd (RSPCL) -- for research and exploration of petroleum products. A Cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today cleared the proposal. The RSPCL will also look into the transportation and distribution of petroleum products. The state government will provide Rs five crore equity for setting up of the corporation. After Gujarat, Rajasthan will be the second in the country to have such a corporation. State Mines and Petroleum Minister Laxmi Narayan Dave said a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will be constituted for the infrastructural development of the petroleum sector. He said private-public partnership would be encouraged for the research and exploration of petroleum products. UNI RRT PV GC1341
