Bollywood blockbuster 'Krissh' will be screened at the 11th Pusan International Film Festival 2006, in the 'A Window on Asian Cinema'section on October 16 and 19. The section offers various prospective and styles of renowned Asian directors. Talking to UNI, its producer and director Rakesh Roshan said, ''Krrish is the first Bollywood film to be screened at Pusan. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it at the festival. But, the film will be represented by somebody from my production house''. ''Krrish' has been released in many countries and I am in talks with several others for it's release by January next year'', Roshan said. A press release issued here today said that within the short span of time, the Pusan International Film Festival in Korea has been credited with bringing Asian Filmmakers together and making it as a high profile festival competing with world wide film festivals . The Pusan international film festival offers a look into Asian films and their trends. Programme includes - window on Asian Cinema, New Currents, Korean Panorama, World Cinema, Wide Angle, Open Cinema, Critic’s Choice, Special Programs in Focus. Overall, the festival seeks to be non-competitive, with the exception of New Currents which is a competitive program. The segment offers the only International Competition section featuring the first or the second films by the leading future directors of the Asian Cinema. 'World Cinema' screens the new works by World’s renowned Filmmakers along with the Year’s best films that offer better understanding of the recent trend in world cinema. The Open Cinema features a collection of new films, combining both the art and mass popularity, along with the Internationally acclaimed works, and a 'Korean Panorama' offers a presentation of the latest outstanding Korean films that help in grasping the current trends in the Korean cinema.
