Bhagamandala and Kalasa receive 14 cm rain

Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hrs here today.

The heavy rain likely may occur at isolated places over coastal Karnataka and ghat areas and south interior Karnataka during next 24 hrs.

Rainfall occureed at most places over coastal Karnataka and at a few places over interior Karnataka.

Very heavy raifall amounts (CM): Bhagamandala, Kalasa 14 each; Kammaradi 13.

Heavy rainfall amounts (CM): Gakleshpura 12; Siddapura 11; Hosanagar 10; Sringeri 9; Sirsi 8; Jayapura 7.

Other chief rainfall amounts (CM): Jolda, Yellapura, Thirthahalli, Mudigere 6 each; Nilkund, Khanapur, Somwarpet, Agumbe 3 each; Dharmasthala, Karkala Sagar, Balehonnur 4 each.

Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to ocur of most places over coastal Karnataka and at a few places over interior Karnataka.

Farmers weahter bulletin: Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all districts of coastal Karnataka and over Ghat areas of south interior Karnataka and at a few places over all districts of north interior Karnataka and remaining districts of south interior Karnataka.

Fishries warning: Strong onshore winds from mainly South-Westerly direction speed occasionally reaching 55 to 60 kmph likely along off Karnataka coast during next 24 hours.

Forecast for Bangalore: Generally cloudy. Light rain likely.

Strong surface winds gusty at times.
