While 80.18 per cent votes were polled in Burdwan, Birbhum and Murshidabad accounted for 82.25 and 84.83 per cent polling respectively. The high turnout forced polling to continue till 2100 hrs in many booths even as it was supposed to be over at 1700 hrs.
