BJP candidate's campaign at sea Chennai | April 19, 2006 4:38:20 PM IST
Satish Kumar, President of the BJP Fishermen's Wing, the party candidate for the Triplicane Assembly constituency, today campaigned at mid-sea.He stood on a boat in the middle of the sea. Around him were several other boats with fishermen. It was Satish Kumar's way of canvassing votes among fishermen who had ventured into the sea for their vocation off Marina here. Along with his supporters, Satish Kumar virtually took a plunge into the 'sea of politics' in two boats. He covered a good distance and asked the fishermen to cast their votes for him. Satish Kumar, who spent nearly an hour at sea, told UNI the fishermen responded well and promised to vote for him. UNI RV/GV RP SND1522
