Roy Rogers set to be revived with biopic trilogy
London | June 16, 2009 10:14:17 AM IST

Western hero Roy Rogers is set to be revived after his family announced plans for a film trilogy based on the life of the late actor.

Producer Eric Geadelmann revealed a deal with the actor's son Roy Rogers Jr. had been inked to reintroduce the King of the Cowboys and wife, Dale Evans, also called the Queen of the West, to young audiences.

"Roy Rogers, Dale Evans and Trigger are quintessential figures of America, and we will introduce this franchise to a new audience while capitalising on the millions of Roy Rogers fans worldwide," The Telegraph quoted Geadelmann as saying.

A cartoon series, interactive games and merchandising was also said to be in the pipeline. (ANI)
