U.S. grain export reports showed mixed results Monday, with corn below expectations, while wheat and soybeans exceeded theirs. Corn was off 17 1/2 to off 19 1/4 ; soybeans were off 44 1/2 to off 46; wheat was off 24 1/4 to off 27 1/2; oats were off 6 to off 6. Corn prices dropped early Monday, with planting below 10 percent compared with a 13 percent average for this week of the year. Wheat also broke sharply Monday as rain is predicted for drier wheat southwest wheat regions. Soybeans areas, like corn, see a chance of improved planting weather ahead. The prices: Corn: May 5.80 1/4, off 19 1/4; Jul 5.93 3/4, off 19 1/4; Sep 6.03 1/4, off 18; Dec 6.05 1/4, off 17 1/2. Soybeans: May 13.15 1/2, off 46; Jul 13.30 1/2, off 46 1/2; Aug. 13.20 1/2, off 46 1/2; Sep 12.80 1/2, off 44 1/2.
