Rail Wheel Factory achieves record turnover

Rail Wheel Factory has achieved a record turnover by doubling the manufacturing capacity during the year 2008-09, General Manager R K Upadhayay said today. Welcoming the Minister of State for Railways K H Muniyappa on his maiden visit to the factory assuming office, Mr Upadhayay said 1,96,000 wheels, 84,000 axels and 64,673 wheel sets were manufactured against the capacity of 1,15,000 wheels, 48,000 axels and wheel sets each. He said there were inventories for 20,000 wagon wheels. Complimenting the officials and workers for their record production, Mr Muniyappa sought cooperation for more productivity. -- (UNI) -- 12MS19.xml
