Its time for some startling statistics from Martin Sheen, as the American actor revealed that he has been arrested 65 times in the last 20 years.

The Emmy Award winner recalled the number of times he had been booked after his most recent run-in with the cops when he was arrested with 38 other activists for trespassing at the Nevada nuclear test site, at a Nevada Desert Experience event where they were protesting against the test site.

The veteran actor shared the experience of his first arrest when he protested former US President Ronald Reagan's nuclear initiative.

"We placed our bodies at the doors so the employees on the project couldn't get through and I remember being terribly frightened by what was going to happen," Contactmusic quoted the actor, as telling British movie magazine Empire.

"I remember (protest organiser) Father Bergin offering the New York Police the chance to come and us in our protest and they said 'no. You have three minutes to get out of here,' and I thought 'Gee, what's coming down now?" he added.

However the actor who played the role of a US President in hit show, 'The West Wing', claims that his jail sentences have always been short, and that he has never undergone much personal humiliation. (ANI)
