Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived here this evening on the way to the United States and Port of Spain.

Dr Singh will have a technical stopover here and leave tomorrow morning for Washington on a four-day state visit.

He was received at the Geneva International Airport by India's Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva A Gopinath and senior officials.

He will be in Washington from November 22-26 and attend CHOGM from November 27-29.

The Prime Minister will have talks with US President Barack Obama on November 24 at the White House.

During Dr Singh's US visit, the two countries would sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on counter-terrorism. They will sign MoUs on cooperation in renewable energy, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Agriculture, official sources said here. A Singh-Obama Knowledge Initiative will also be launched, the sources added.
