UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal to visit India today

CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal will arrive New Delhi on a weeklong visit today.

Khanal has informed his party's Standing Committee in Nepal that he is going to India at the invitation of the Indian government.

During his visit, Khanal will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi, senior leaders from the main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Communist Party of India and senior government officials.

According to Nepalnews, the main agenda of the Khanal's visit has not been disclosed, but it is clear that he will discuss the new political crisis brought about by the start of the Maoists' nationwide stir with the Indian leaders.

UML central member Arun Nepal will accompany Khanal during his visit.(ANI)
