British men prefer cars to partners! London | August 04, 2008 5:45:27 PM IST
A new survey has shown that most Brit men would ditch their wives or girlfriends rather than give up their car. According to the survey of 18,547 AA members, about three per cent of men would choose a motor over a partner and two per cent of women feel the same. As many as 15 percent would give up drinking or holidays rather than go carless, while four percent would get rid of pets and 3 percent would even quit their job. Motorists in the West Midlands, Wales and Northern Ireland seemed most attached to their cars. Overall, 79 per cent said they could not imagine life without their motor. "Despite the doom and gloom of fuel costs, the vast majority of motorists still enjoy driving," The Sun quoted AA president Edmund King, as saying. (ANI)
