Hamilton embarrassed by his wooden Hollywood performance London | May 10, 2008 11:23:47 AM IST
Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton has temporarily abandoned his bid to make his presence felt in Hollywood after coming up with what he called a "wooden" performance in a publicity stunt for telecom sponsors Vodafone. According to The Sun, Hamilton flew on to a stage dressed in his McLaren uniform this week to play the part of the God Apollo. The Formula One ace, 23, said: "I just turned up and got on with what I'd been told to do. Now I've seen the footage and it's one of the worst things I've ever seen. I just thought 'that really was not cool. At the end of the day, I have a cool image and things like that don't help." "I like challenges. It was something different and nothing to do with driving. But let's forget about the theatre. It's better for me to be in the car," he added. Hamilton knows the races coming up in Monaco and Canada offer his best bet of beating rivals Ferrari. (ANI)
