Arrest made in 'Pacman' case Las Vegas | May 10, 2008 12:01:13 AM IST
A 29-year-old man faces charges in the Las Vegas strip club shooting involving NFL player Adam Pacman Jones, police say. Police said late Friday Arvin Edwards of Renton, Wash., is named in three counts of attempted murder with a weapon and three counts of battery with substantial bodily harm, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Saturday. Edwards was being held in Yakima County, Wash., where he has been incarcerated since March 17 on a minor domestic violence charge, pending extradition to Nevada, the newspaper reported. The charges against Edwards represent the most serious to date in the Feb. 19, 2007, Minxx nightclub shooting that left bouncer Tom Urbanski paralyzed from the waist down and a club customer wounded, the newspaper said. Jones, who has been suspended by the Tennessee Titans, and two other defendants have pleaded no contest to lesser charges in the NBA All-Star weekend incident. All three have avoided jail time. Right now I'm excited for sure, but I don't want to get my hopes up until I find out this is the right guy, Urbanski said. (UPI)
